Selank dosage calculator
In a 10 mg vial with 2 mL of water (5 mg/mL), 150 mcg of Selank is 3 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. Selank is registered in Russia as a nasal solution and its label gives drops, not micrograms. This calculator does the vial, water and syringe arithmetic for a number you choose.

About Selank
Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) is a synthetic seven-amino-acid analogue of the immune peptide tuftsin. Russia registers it as 0.15% nasal drops; it has no FDA-approved product. Vials sold online are sold for research use and are not the registered product.
The only human dose with a published source is the Russian label: 2 drops into each nostril, 3 times a day, for a 14-day course. The solution is 0.15%, or 1.5 mg per mL, so every 0.1 mL carries 150 mcg. The label gives drops, not micrograms, and the only registered route is intranasal, so there is no sourced microgram dose and the calculator shows no usual range for Selank. The 150 mcg preset is the amount in 0.1 mL at label strength, a worked example and not a dose to take. A 5 mg vial with 3.3 mL of water is about 1.5 mg/mL, the label strength; a 10 mg vial with 2 mL of water is 5,000 mcg/mL, where 150 mcg is 0.03 mL, or 3 units.
The same 10 mg vial at other water volumes
If the draw is awkward to read, change the water, not the dose. The dose stays the same; only the mark moves.
| Vial | BAC water | Concentration | Draw | U-100 units | Doses/vial |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 mg | 1 mL | 10 mg/mL | 0.015 mL | 1.5 units | 66 |
| 10 mg | 2 mL | 5 mg/mL | 0.03 mL | 3 units | 66 |
| 10 mg | 3 mL | 3.33 mg/mL | 0.045 mL | 4.5 units | 66 |
| 5 mg | 1 mL | 5 mg/mL | 0.03 mL | 3 units | 33 |
| 5 mg | 2 mL | 2.5 mg/mL | 0.06 mL | 6 units | 33 |
| 5 mg | 3 mL | 1.67 mg/mL | 0.09 mL | 9 units | 33 |
All rows above assume a 150 mcg dose and a standard U-100 insulin syringe, where 100 units = 1 mL.
How long it lasts in the body
No half-life is given on the Russian label. After intranasal dosing the plasma concentration is described as falling over about 5 to 5.5 minutes. A decay curve is only drawn where a human half-life is documented, so there is none here. Treat any precise figure for Selank elsewhere with caution.
Common questions
- How many units is 150 mcg of Selank?
- It depends entirely on how much water you added. In a 10 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL, the concentration is 5 mg/mL, so 150 mcg is 0.03 mL, which is 3 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. In the same vial with 1 mL of water it is 1.5 units, and with 3 mL it is 4.5 units.
- How much bacteriostatic water for a 10 mg Selank vial?
- 2 mL is the usual choice. It gives 5 mg/mL, where 150 mcg is 3 units. Aim for a draw between about 10 and 50 units, where the barrel is easiest to read, and add or remove water to get there.
- How many doses are in a 10 mg vial?
- Divide 10 by your dose. At 150 mcg that is 66 doses, which at once daily is 66 days.
- How many units is 150 mcg of Selank?
- In a 10 mg vial with 2 mL of water, 3 units on a U-100 syringe. In a 5 mg vial with 3.3 mL, which matches the 1.5 mg/mL label strength, 10 units.
- Is there a Selank dose in micrograms?
- Not from a source we can cite. The Russian label gives 2 drops into each nostril, 3 times a day, of a 0.15% (1.5 mg/mL) solution, and does not give a drop volume. The micrograms-per-day figures that circulate online are not from the label or a trial abstract.
- Is Selank injected?
- The only registered route is intranasal, as nasal drops in Russia. The label does not describe injection.
