Sermorelin is a 29 amino acid fragment of growth hormone releasing hormone, dosed in micrograms out of a vial labelled in milligrams. It was once a licensed diagnostic and paediatric product and is now mostly seen through compounding pharmacies and research vendors. The half-life is roughly 11 to 12 minutes, which is why it is dosed close to sleep, when the natural growth hormone pulse occurs, and why the timing gets more attention than the exact unit count.

How many units is 200 mcg of sermorelin?

8 units from a 5 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, which is 2500 mcg/mL and makes 200 mcg a 0.08 mL draw. From the same vial with 1 mL it is 4 units, and from a 10 mg vial with 2 mL it is 4 units. Four units is a hard mark to read, which is the argument for more water rather than less on this one.

Frequency, and how long a vial lasts

Sermorelin is a once-nightly compound in almost every report, taken on an empty stomach before bed, in blocks of several weeks with breaks. Commonly reported amounts run 100 to 500 mcg. At 200 mcg a night a 5 mg vial is 25 nights, a 10 mg vial is 50 and a 15 mg vial is 75, so a single 10 mg vial covers most of a two-month block. There is no licensed schedule for this use.

If yours came as a liquid

Compounded sermorelin from a pharmacy often arrives already reconstituted at a stated concentration, sometimes blended with ipamorelin. In that case there is no vial and water step: the label gives you the concentration directly. A label reading 3 mg/mL is the same arithmetic as a 3 mg vial reconstituted with 1 mL, so 200 mcg is 0.067 mL, which is 6.7 units. Enter those two numbers into the mg to units calculator and skip the reconstitution entirely.

1 mg is 1,000 mcg throughout. A 5 mg vial holds 5,000 mcg, which is why a compound dosed in hundreds of micrograms lasts weeks.

Common questions

How many units is 200 mcg of sermorelin?
8 units from a 5 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, which is 2,500 mcg/mL. From the same vial with 1 mL it is 4 units, and from a 10 mg vial with 2 mL it is 4 units.
How much bacteriostatic water for a 5 mg sermorelin vial?
2 mL is the usual choice and gives 2,500 mcg/mL, putting the commonly reported 100 to 500 mcg range at 4 to 20 units. With 3 mL that range moves up to 6 to 30 units, which is easier to read at the low end.
How long does a 5 mg sermorelin vial last?
25 nights at 200 mcg, 50 at 100 mcg and 10 at 500 mcg. A 10 mg vial doubles each of those and a 15 mg vial triples them.
When is sermorelin taken?
Almost every report describes once nightly, on an empty stomach before bed, because the natural growth hormone pulse happens during sleep. The half-life is roughly 11 to 12 minutes, so nothing carries over to the next day.
My sermorelin came as a liquid. How do I use the chart?
Use the concentration on the label instead of a vial and water volume. A label reading 3 mg/mL is the same arithmetic as a 3 mg vial reconstituted with 1 mL, so 200 mcg is 0.067 mL, or 6.7 units.

Tools

Before you use these numbers This is a unit-conversion tool. It turns a vial strength and a water volume into a concentration, a draw volume and a syringe mark. It does not tell you what to take, whether to take it, or whether a compound is safe for you. Most compounds listed are sold for laboratory research and are not approved for human use. Nothing here is medical advice. Dosing decisions belong with a licensed clinician who knows your history. Always check the strength printed on your own vial rather than trusting a preset.
